Chandigarh, October 11 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the media persons here today disbursed compensation to flood-affected victims in the state, transferring a total of Rs. 5 crore, 90 lakh, and 99 thousand to their accounts with a single click. Similarly, a total compensation of Rs 1 crore 60 lakh has been given to the families of 40 deceased; the work of verification of the remaining 7 deceased is going on. Till now an amount of Rs 7 crore 50 lakh 99000 has been released by the state government to the flood affected people. Compensation for crop loss will also be paid soon as per the prescribed norms.
The Chief Minister further announced that the E-Kshatipurti Portal will remain open for the farmers till November 30 considering the loss farmers have faced due to the attack of pink bollworms.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government has completed the verification of losses incurred due to the recent natural calamity in recent days. The calculation of compensation is currently being carried out based on the verification report.
Crop loss in 6,87,077 acres of 1,41,079 farmers
The claims of 1,41,079 farmers, who reported losses in approximately 6,87,077 acres of land, have been received by the state government.
Additionally, 7,504 claims for home damages were submitted, of which 6,057 were from rural areas and 1,447 from urban areas. There were also 383 claims related to livestock losses. Furthermore, 138 claims were filed for commercial property damage in urban areas, while 32 claims from rural areas of Kurukshetra, Ambala, and Fatehabad were related to commercial property losses. Another 537 claims were associated with clothing and household item losses.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that claims made by affected individuals have been approved, and the compensation disbursement is based on assessment and verification through the E-Kshatipurti Portal. A total of 8,456 claims have been received, of which 8,449 have been verified.
He further said that 7,504 claims for home damage were received, with 7,499 of them being verified. These claimants have received compensation totaling Rs. 5 crore,14 lakh, and 55 thousand. In addition, 383 claims related to livestock losses have been verified, with a total compensation amount of Rs. 58 lakh, and 2 thousand.
Furthermore, 537 claims associated with clothing, household items, and utensil losses have been verified, and compensation of Rs.13 lakh, 42 thousand, and 500 have been disbursed. In rural areas, 32 claims related to commercial property losses have been verified, with 30 of them already receiving compensation totaling Rs. 4 lakh, 99 thousand, and 500.
1469 villages across 12 districts have been declared flood-affected
The Chief Minister noted that 1,469 villages in 12 districts of Haryana had been declared flood-affected. Unfortunately, 47 lives were lost due to the floods, and their families were provided compensation of Rs. 4 lakh per person by the state government. An amount of Rs. 1 crore 60 lakh has already been given to the 40 family members of those who lost their lives in the flood and the verification of the pending seven deceased is going on.
Compensation allocated for deceased animals
The Chief Minister said that compensation will be provided for up to 3 large milch animals and/or 30 small milch animals, or, 3 large draft animals and/or 6 small draft animals per household. Depending on the type of livestock, Rs. 37,500 will be given for cows/buffaloes, Rs. 4,000 for sheep/goats/pigs, Rs. 32,000 for camels/horses/cattle, and Rs. 20,000 for foals/mares/donkeys. For poultry farming, Rs.100 per bird will be compensated.
Rs. 1 lakh 20 thousand compensation given for completely damaged house
For completely damaged homes, compensation will be distributed at a rate of Rs.1,20,000 per house, while partially damaged homes will receive Rs. 10,000 for a pucca house and Rs. 5,000 for a kaccha house.
The Chief Minister emphasised that if anyone has objections to the compensation payments, they can upload their complaints on the designated portal. Once the investigation confirms the validity of the complaint, the resolution will be provided.

Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue & Disaster Management and Consolidation Department, Sh. TVSN Prasad, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agarwal, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, K.M. Pandurang and Media Secretary, Sh.
