  • Chandigarh January 10: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that the State has urged the Centre Government for the setting up of Skill Development Centres in the State to train the people intended to work in foreign countries as per the demand.
  • Mr Manohar Lal was interacting with the media persons after a meeting held under the Chairmanship of External Affairs Minister, Mrs Sushma Swaraj regarding Non Resident Indians (NRIs) in New Delhi today. 
  •  He said that the setting up  of Skill Development Centres in Haryana would give further impetus to the process of sending the people abroad for employment. 
  • In reply to a question regarding complaints made by women and girls against the NRI grooms, the Chief Minister said that though the NRI Cell of the State take action on such complaints as per the rules, a NRI policy would also be prepared by the State Government. He said that 136 different cases have been registered against the NRIs in the State last year.
