Chandigarh, April 19: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today met the people of Jogi community at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir and interacted with them on the outline of the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Samaroh to be held in Karnal next month.
The Chief Minister said that saints play a significant role in the upliftment of the society and removal of social evils. “Also, with the implementation of various social welfare schemes of the government; the message of the saints reached the people, giving direction to the society,” he added.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the present state government is the first government which has started celebrating the birth anniversaries of all saints and great men of the society; with the aim of spreading their message and teachings to inspire the lives of the people.
The Chief Minister also took suggestions from the representatives of the Jogi community for organizing the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Samaroh. On the occasion, national president of Jogi Community, Subhash Chandra Jogi, state president, Naresh Jogi and other dignitaries of the community were present.
