Chandigarh, April 27- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state is fully equipped to deal with any situation arising due to corona pandemic. Enhanced health infrastructure has been set up in the state. Along with enhanced health facilities the State Government has also started the recruitment process of new medical staff. The Chief Minister said this during a meeting held by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi with the Chief Ministers of all the states through video conferencing on Wednesday. During this, Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij were also present.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that under the guidance of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi health services are being enhanced. He elaborated that Corona investigation, vaccination, treatment, awareness and management of health services are being conducted. For the last one week, there has been slight rise in the number of corona patients in three districts sharing proximity with Delhi. Sharing the COVID status of the remaining districts of the State he said that there are no patients in four districts, while the number of patients in the remaining districts is less than 10. He said that there are currently 1960 corona positive cases in the state, out of which 1380 patients are in Gurugram, 463 in Faridabad and 27 in Sonipat. The positivity rate of the State is 0.5 percent, he added.
Haryana government also made the precautionary dose free
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana had received 4.25 crore doses under the Corona vaccination campaign. Out of this, the first dose has been administered to 100 percent and the second dose to 88 percent of beneficiaries. Also, 43 percent of the beneficiaries have been administered precautionary dose. He informed that the Haryana Government is administering the precaution dose free of cost, however, it was earlier priced at Rs 250 for the beneficiaries falling within the age group of 18 years to 59 years. The Chief Minister said that 72 percent of the age group of 15 years to 18 have been administered the first dose while 42 percent have been administered the second dose. 30 percent of the students in the age group of 12 to 14 years have also been vaccinated.
Testing will be enhanced from 13,500 to 20,000
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that presently 13,500 corona tests are being conducted in the State which will be enhanced to 20,000. He said that 94 oxygen plants have been set up from PM CARES and CSR funds. There are 58,000 Isolation Beds and 15,000 Oxygen Beds in state hospitals. Of the Rs 602 crore ECRP fund provided by the Central Government, 75 percent has been utilised. The recruitment process of 1252 medical officers is also going on in the state, 787 community health officers have also been recruited. At the same time, 8,000 multi-disciplinary teams which had been constituted in rural areas have been activated again.
Prime Minister appeals to all Chief Ministers to get the fire safety audit of hospitals done
Taking the 24th meeting with the Chief Ministers of all the states regarding the corona pandemic, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi said that the number of corona patients has been increasing in the states for the last two weeks. We need to be cautious and ensure continuous testing, genome sequencing and corona-compliant behavior in the states, so that there is no fear in the public. The Prime Minister said that in order to strengthen the economy during the pandemic, there is a need to create better coordination between the central and state governments.
The Prime Minister said that the incidents of arson in forests, buildings and hospitals increase during peak summers. In such a situation, all the states should conduct a fire safety audit from safety viewpoint and make adequate arrangements for fire safety in buildings and hospitals.
Chief Minister directs to conduct fire safety audit of hospitals
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal directed to conduct fire safety audit in hospitals across the state at the earliest. He directed the Chief Secretary to hold an immediate meeting in this regard and implement it.
Chief Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. D.S. Dhesi, ACS Sh. P.K. Das, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Smt. Ashima Brar and senior officers of Health Department were present in the meeting.
