Chandigarh, April 4 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that we not only have to treat the water in the treatment plant but also have to re-use it. He said if we conserve water today, then only it will be saved for the coming generations. The Chief Minister inspected the CETP plant in Barhi Industrial Area of Gannaur in Sonipat district on Monday.
During this, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal directed the officers to insist on re-use of the water of the treatment plant. He said that whatever permission is required by the departments regarding its use, should be taken immediately. He also directed the existing officers to submit a report in this regard within a week.
The Chief Minister said that every drop of water is precious. He added that the government is setting up water treatment plants by spending huge amounts of money. He said that the benefit of setting up these treatment plants is only when we are going to reuse this water in industry and other places. He further said that industry as well as people should be encouraged to use treated water. This water can be used in many places. Today the whole society needs to save water in every way.
Capacity of CETP being increased with an estimated cost of Rs. 27 crore
The Chief Minister had come to inspect the CETP plant in the Barhi Industrial Area of Ganaur. The capacity of this plot is being increased from 16 MLD to 26 MLD. An estimate of Rs. 27 crore is being spent to increase the capacity of upto 10 MLD. This 12-month project will be completed in the month of October.
MP, Sh. Ramesh Kaushik, Gannaur MLA, Smt. Nirmal Chaudhary, Sonepat District Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Lalit Siwach, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Rahul Sharma and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
