Chandigarh, August 16:  Now there will be no delay in the matters related to the demarcation of land in Haryana as the Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) machine will be made available in every tehsil.

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh.  Manohar Lal gave these directions while presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram today.

A total of 13 complaints were placed in today's meeting, out of which the Chief Minister disposed off 11 on the spot and told that earlier the Deputy Commissioner had  33 complaints to be tabled in this meeting, but before the meeting officers settled most of them and only 13 were left.

Two complaints related to metering were placed in this meeting, after hearing which the Chief Minister gave these orders.  At present, the work of demarcation or metering is done only through the private people who have been allowed to operate the DGPS machine, for which they charge a prescribed fee.  After the directions of the Chief Minister to ensure availability of one DGPS machine in every tehsil, the cases pending due to metering or demarcation in the Tehsil offices will be disposed off soon.

The Chief Minister said that to solve the problem, it is being considered to make a lake in the slope area and save the rest of the land from getting submerged by constructing a dam around it.  About 5,000  acres of agricultural land is affected by this.  With the solution to this problem, thousands of acres of agricultural land located along the Najafgarh drain will be used.
