Chandigarh, August 9 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that as per the policy of the State Government, a Para Medical College or Nursing College can be opened within a radius of 10 km of the hospital.  If the hospital does not exist within a radius of 10 km, there is no provision for opening a nursing or para medical college there.

The Chief Minister was speaking during the Zero Hour on the second day of the Monsoon session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that there is a 50-bed hospital in Safidon and the land which has been provided is not within a radius of 10 kms, but up to 15 kms.  If land was available even up to 12 kms, then a Para Medical College could have been built by giving some relaxation in the rules.  If land is available within 10 km radius then para medical college will be opened.
