Chandigarh, December 10: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal will attend ‘Lord Parshuram Mahakumbh’ as the chief guest on December 11, Sunday, in Karnal’s Sector 12. Along with the Chief Minister, Karnal MP, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia and Rajya Sabha MP, Sh. Kartikeya Sharma will also be present in the programme. A large number of people from all over Haryana will participate in the state-level convention at Karnal; preparations of which have been completed.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the organisation of ‘Lord Parshuram Mahakumbh’ will serve as a source of inspiration for the entire society. “The purpose of the programme is to honour the great saints and to showcase their work done in the interest of the society,” he added. He said that the people from Haryana as well as other states will be welcomed at Lord Parshuram Mahakumbh, adding that the state government is determined to make the programmes organised in honour of all the saints successful.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that Lord Parshuram is revered by all. By taking birth in a Brahmin clan, Lord Parshuram not only acquired the knowledge of Vedas and scriptures, but also adopted the nature of a Kshatriya and was called the knower of all weapons and scriptures. Lord Parshuram took up weapons with the aim of establishing social justice and equality and to protect the rights of the oppressed sections of the society, he said.
Notably, the state government has taken the initiative to honour all the great saints of the society under ‘Sant-Mahapurush Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana’. So far, many such programmes have been organised by the government across the state and moving ahead with this; ‘Lord Parshuram Mahakumbh’ is being organised on December 11 in Karnal.
