Chandigarh, December 23 – Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal here today has given the approval for amendment in Rule 1 and 9 of the Rules for the Departmental Examination of Assistant Commissioners, Extra Assistant Commissioners and Candidates for the post of Extra Assistant Commissioners in Haryana.
Now, under Rule 1, a Departmental Examination of Assistant Commissioners, Extra Assistant Commissioners and the candidates for the post of Extra Assistant Commissioners shall be held thrice in a year in the months of April, July and November, the exact dates being notified before hand in the Haryana Government Gazette.
Under the existing Rule 9, a candidate obtaining three-fourth marks was declared to have passed with credit. A candidate shall have to appear in all the papers in a Group in one and the same examination and shall obtain at least one-third of the maximum marks in each paper individually but in Hindi Devanagari script 50 percent marks are compulsory, besides the requisite marks in aggregate for passing the Group will now be 50 per cent.
