Chandigarh December 5 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that following the idea of Antyodaya as envisaged by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, for the upliftment of all sections of the society, the State Government is striving to extend the benefits of government schemes to the poorest of the poor. Online transfer policy, CM window, government jobs on the basis of merit and efforts to take their income up to Rs. 2 lakh per annum by identifying families with less than Rs. 1 lakh income are a part of these efforts.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, people are being supported in getting employment to increase their income through melas, for which bank loans, training and other needs will be met. He said this at the inauguration of Punjabi Biradari Bhawan in Karnal today. He said that the Punjabi is known for its spirit of struggle, sacrifice and patriotic fervour. The people of Punjabi community who had brought a sense of patriotism during the struggle for independence, have been successful in carving their niche through their hard work and sacrifice.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that for the first time from the land of Karnal, the slogan of Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek was given and was implemented in the entire state. There is no discrimination against any community, so the people of Karnal elected me MLA twice. The Chief Minister said that the Punjabi fraternity has erected a grand building in this 1700 square yard space, which would cater to the needs of people from all sections of the society. A grant of Rs. 46 lakh has been given by the government for its construction. During this, he also announced to give his two month’s salary.
Along with this, Indri MLA, Sh. Ramkumar Kashyap and Nilokheri MLA, Sh. Dharampal Gondar gave their one month salary each, Mayor, Smt. Renu Bala Gupta gave Rs. 1 lakh, Sh. Krishan Lal Taneja gave Rs 2 lakh, Sh. Rajendra Nagpal gave Rs. 1.25 lakh, Sh. Shashi Mehta gave one month’s salary, Sh. Jagmohan Anand gave Rs. 1 lakh and former Assandh MLA, Sh. Bakshish Singh announced to give one month pension. Apart from this, about two dozen people of Punjabi fraternity including Sh. Yogendra Rana raised their hands and assured to cooperate in the construction of its remaining works.
