Chandigarh, December 6- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while paying homage to Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas said that it is only because of his intense efforts and vision that the nation has got a strong and comprehensive constitution.

In a message issued here today, the Chief Minister said that the architect of the Constitution, Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was a leader of an exclusive category, who had devoted his entire life to the upliftment and welfare of the poor and the weaker and backward sections of the society.

He said that Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was a scholar, jurist and social worker, whose personality reflected sharpness, intelligence, honesty and truth. He said that today, following the path shown by Babasaheb, the Haryana Government is making special efforts for the welfare and upliftment of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes in the state and many schemes are being implemented in this direction so that the deprived sections are brought into the mainstream.
