Chandigarh, February 7:  In a bid to resolve the grievances of Karnal residents, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today held a Janta Darbar in the city. During the Janta Darbar, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to redress all the grievances of the people on a priority basis.

During the Janta Darbar, Chief Minister while taking strict cognizance of a complaint received from a resident of village Samalkhi district, Kurukshetra, ordered to suspend the head draftsman Sarita and clerk Manoj Kumar working in Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department for not releasing the payments on time for work done under Jal Shakti Abhiyan 2019.

In the Janta Darbar, about 60-70 people shared their problems with the Chief Minister, while most of them were resolved on the spot and the Chief Minister directed the officers of the concerned department to solve the remaining problems immediately.

In the Janta Darbar, people requested the Chief Minister for repair work and widening of roads, police action and also to stop illegal construction.  Besides this, a cancer victim also requested the Chief Minister for financial help, poor women of Ramnagar also requested for the repair of their houses, to open a library in Nigdhu village. The people present in the Janata Darbar also thanked the Chief Minister for making Primary Health Care Centre.

During the Janta Darbar, on the request of Sarpanches of villages Dabri, Zarifabad, Pundark, Kachhwa, Kalampura and Ratangarh, the Chief Minister gifted developmental works of about Rs 2 crore in six villages. The development works related to basic amenities for the people should be completed on a priority basis, directed the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister also announced financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each to three poor families of Ramnagar for their house renovation.

Deputy Commissioner Karnal, Mr. Nishant Kumar Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Ganga Ram Punia and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
