Chandigarh, February 7 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the government system and legal processes function according to the Constitution of the country, under which the rights of every person have been protected.
Granting furlough to a person is a legal and administrative process and it is a prisoner’s right. However, it should not be linked to elections.
The Chief Minister said this while responding to a question from mediapersons. He said that a prisoner who undergoes a period of 3 years of imprisonment can seek furlough. Thereafter, the final decision is taken by the General Administration and the Jail Administration after considering the prisoner’s application. Thus, it is a regular process.
While responding to another question, the Chief Minister said that after the year 2014, Bharatiya Janata Party’s graph is moving in a positive direction. The party is moving forward continuously. Moreover, the BJP is now forming the government in states where the BJP had never formed government before. He said that in Haryana also in the last seven and a half years, the State Government has set new dimensions of development.
