Chandigarh, January 18: The Railway Ministry has given in-principle approval for the construction of railway line project from Karnal to Yamunanagar in Haryana. In addition, construction of 4 km long elevated railway line in Kaithal has also been agreed by Ministry of Railways.
Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal met with Union Railway Minister, Mr. Piyush Goyal at Rail Bhawan in New Delhi today and discussed various railway projects related to Haryana. Railway Minister has approved various railway projects related to Haryana. Other Railway officers were also present during the meeting.
While interacting with mediapersons after the meeting, Mr. Manohar Lal said that in-principle approval has been given by the Ministry of Railways to construct Karnal to Yamunanagar Railway line project. Consent has also been given by the Ministry of Railways regarding construction of 4 km long elevated railway line in Kaithal like Rohtak, he added. He said that Panchkula railway station will be developed like Chandigarh railway station. Haryana Public Works Department has given permission for the construction of the road below the elevated railway line in Rohtak. A survey will be conducted to transfer the shed for goods trains at Rohtak railway station to Lahli. Apart from this, a halt has been approved for passenger train from Bhiwani to Haridwar at Kalanaur.
