Chandigarh January 2: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today congratulated Boxing World Cup Gold Medalist, Mr. Amit Panghal and gave his blessings for an Olympic medal victory. The Chief Minister said that the youth of Haryana should take inspiration from Mr. Amit Panghal and work hard for achieving a bright future.
Mr. Amit Panghal met the Chief Minister at his residence before leaving for the Olympic camp and promised to win an Olympic medal.
While hoping that World’s Ace ranking boxer Mr. Amit Panghal will bring glory to Haryana by winning Olympic medal, the Chief Minister also asked about his preparations and practice. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has increased the honorarium given to winners of the State Sports and Adventure Sports Awards and such schemes will continue to be implemented in the future as well.
Mr. Amit Panghal said that he will go to Bangalore along with his personal coach, Mr. Anil Dhankhar where he will work on the specifics of boxing till the proposed Tokyo Olympics.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also congratulated Mr. Amit Panghal's father, Mr. Vijender Singh Panghal and uncle, Mr. Rajnarayan Panghal along with his coach.
