Chandigarh, July 12 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal was presented with a dividend cheque of Rs. 3,02,40,830 for the financial year 2018-19 by MLA and Chairman, Haryana State Warehousing Corporation, Sh. Nayanpal Rawat. The turnover of the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation was Rs. 4,840 crore.
Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Dr. Sumita Misra and Managing Director of Haryana State Warehousing Corporation, Sh. Ashok Kumar Sharma was also present on this occasion
Sh. Nayanpal Rawat further said that the Corporation is presently operating 112 warehouses in the state with total storage capacity of 24.57 lakh MTs. The Corporation is constructing 37,012 MTS capacity godowns at Nayabans Kalanwali. Apart from this 34,186 MTs capacity godowns are being constructed by the Corporation at Nasirpur (Ambala), Kurukshetra Unit-1, Shahabad, Gheer (Karnal), Jind, Samalkha, Ambala, Sewli and Pundri in the state.
He further informed that during 2020-22 there is a proposal to construct godowns of 84238 MTs at 14 different locations. In addition to this the Corporation has signed an MOU with the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB) for Construction of 191184 MTs godowns at 11 different locations in the state on profit sharing basis. The Corporation has also signed an MoU with Sugarfed for construction of 81406 MTs godowns at 4 different locations in the state on profit sharing basis. Similarly, a plan is proposed to construct a godown with the help of Municipality Bhiwani and Loharu and Agriculture Department.
Dr. Sumita Misra further informed that the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation has been appointed as Nodal Agency by the State Government for construction of 6 lakh MTs Silos at eight different locations in the State. In addition to this the Corporation is planning to adopt the Warehouse Management System (WMS) under which all activities are proposed to be digitized by October 1, 2021.
