Chandigarh, July 12- The newly appointed Governor of Haryana, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya reached Haryana Raj Bhavan on Monday. Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal along with Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Sh. Dushyant Chautala, Haryana Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta and members of cabinet welcomed the Governor. The newly-appointed Governor was accompanied by his family members.
Thereafter, the newly-appointed Governor took the salute of the guard of honor and also inspected it. Officers from HAP, Madhuban, under the leadership of DSP, Sh. Abhilaksh Joshi, saluted the Governor by playing the national anthem.
Sh. Manohar Lal informed the Governor about the geographical, cultural and historical background of Haryana. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also apprised the Governor about some major development works and schemes being carried out by the state government. The Chief Minister said that Haryana borders the national capital, Delhi on three sides. He said that Haryana has a special identity at the national and international level in agriculture and sports. The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pride for the people of the state that Haryana will be hosting Khelo India Youth Games to be held in the near future.
On this occasion Haryana Health and Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal, Haryana Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. OP Yadav, Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sh. Sandeep Singh and Minister of State for Archeology and Museum, Sh. Anoop Dhanak were also present.
Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Vijai Vardhan, Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana Home and Health Departments, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Additional Chief Secretary Revenue and Disaster Management, Sh, Sanjeev Kaushal, Director General of Police, Sh. Manoj Yadava, Secretary to Governor, Sh. Atul Dwivedi, Director, Civil Military Affairs Western Command, Col. Jasdeep Sandhu among other senior officers were present.
