Chandigarh, July 23 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that monthly house meeting should be held in every municipal corporation and every councillor should get an opportunity to raise their ward issues. He suggested that it would be even better if a date is fixed for the meeting.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a review meeting of the ULB Department at the Karnal Municipal Corporation office today.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that we all are the representatives of the public, it is our primary responsibility to address the grievances of the public and make strenuous efforts to resolve them.
He said that the public has entrusted us with the responsibility of serving the public by electing us on different posts.
Expedite the work of property ID
Chief Minister directed the officers of the Urban Local Bodies Department that not only in Karnal but across the state, the work of rectifying errors in property ID should be expedited.
The Chief Minister also appealed to the general public that those who have not self-certified themselves on the portal of Property ID, they must self-certify their properties.
He said that this work is very easy, it can also be done through logging on the portal through mobile. Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal directed the officers not to reject any complaint of Property ID without rectifying it.
Chief Minister said that all councillors should prepare a list of works for the development of their wards, complete these works as soon as possible.
He said that no work of water, sewerage, street, drain should remain incomplete in any ward. There is no dearth of budget with the government.
He said that the municipal corporations should first spend their budget, and if needed, the government will ensure additional funds.
Approved colonies to be notified soon
CM said that according to the records, the work of approving all the unapproved colonies across the state is moving at a fast pace. The work of approving 36 colonies of Karnal which come under the Municipal Corporation is under progress. He said that the colonies of the state which are to be approved will be notified soon.
Chief Minister completely transformed the delivery system in the state - Renu Bala Gupta
Mayor, Smt. Renu Bala Gupta said that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has completely transformed the public service delivery system in the state. Under his leadership, many development works have been carried out in the city. She said that the ongoing development works under Karnal Municipal Corporation are being completed in a transparent manner. House meetings are organized from time to time in Karnal Municipal Corporation. In this meeting, the councillors regularly raise issues and problems related to their respective wards. She informed that issues are immediately taken into cognizance and prompt action is taken upon them. She said that the problems and demands related to the residents of Karnal are continuously being redressed through the Chief Minister's Jan Samvad Programme. The Chief Minister received a warm welcome upon reaching the Karnal Municipal Corporation office.
On this occasion, Commissioner and Secretary Urban Local Bodies Department, Sh. Vikas Gupta, ULB Director, Sh. Yash Pal, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Anish Yadav, Karnal Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Sh. Abhishek Meena, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Shashank Kumar Sawan, Zilla Parishad CEO, Sh. Gaurav Kumar, Gharaunda SDM, Aditi, BJP District President, Sh. Yogender Rana, and all councillors and officials of Karnal Municipal Corporation were present.
