Chandigarh, July 7: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has expressed deep condolence on the sad demise of veteran actor and a great stalwart of Hindi cinema Sh. Dilip Kumar.
Late Sh. Dilip Kumar was 98 years old and was suffering from medical ailments for a long time. He breathed his last at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai today.
In a condolence message issued here today, the Chief Minister described late Sh. Dilip Kumar as an exceptional and veteran actor who was popularly known as the Tragedy King. The Chief Minister said that it will be impossible to fill the void created by his demise.
The Chief Minister said that Late Sh. Dilip Kumar, known for his flawless and sensitive acting, will always remain in the hearts of the people.
He said that Late Sh. Dilip Kumar was also a member of the Rajya Sabha besides being honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest honour of Indian films.
His brilliant acting can never be forgotten. His sad demise is a loss for the film industry as well as the country, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace.
