Chandigarh, June 12- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, who arrived as the Chief Guest at the State Level Sant Kabir Das Jayanti celebrations organized in Rohtak, made many significant announcements.
While making the announcement, the Chief Minister said that the provision of cadre wise reservation will be made during promotion to government employees like the Centre. He said that even if a single room is available in all the educational institutions, dharamshalas of Haryana that belong not only to the Scheduled Castes but also to the backward societies, the education department would make arrangements for the library. Sh Manohar Lal announced that 75 percent subsidy will be given for setting up 5 KW solar plants in Dharamshalas of not only scheduled castes but also backward communities. Talks will be held with the Centre for the arrangement of reservation in NITs and IITs. Along with this, the Chief Minister said that any project worth up to Rs 51 lakh would be made by the government on five and a half acres of land of the society if an educational institution demands it. Along with this, railway fare will be given to everyone who wants to travel to Banaras, the birthplace of Sant Kabir. At the same time, any one institution in the state will be named after Sant Kabir. The Chief Minister said that his official residence in Chandigarh would also be named as Sant Kabir Kutir.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that Sant Kabir Das ji was a strong supporter of religious unity. He gave the message of love to mankind. His followers are still promoting his ideals even today. His teachings are the heritage of the society.
The Chief Minister further said that we are committed to Antyodaya according to the principles of Sant Kabir. His teachings and thoughts are relevant even today. The all-round development of the weaker sections will be the true tribute to him. He appealed to the people of the state to forget the discrimination of caste and creed and take a pledge to love mankind. He said that 'Sant-Mahapurush Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana' has been started by the State Government. Under this, programmes are organized at the state level on the birth anniversary of sants and great personalities. The government has also organized state level celebrations on the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, and the Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji and Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. Similarly, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, 'Parakram Diwas', the birth anniversary of Sant Kabir Das ji is also a part of this episode.
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister gave the basic mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas'. Similarly, we also took the pledge of 'Haryana Ek-Haryanavi Ek'. Our government is committed to empower every poor, oppressed, and underprivileged person. The government has launched a campaign to reach the last person standing in line. Jobs are being given on the basis of merit in the state, 570 Antyodaya Mela Days were organized at 156 places. Under this, employment has been given to more than 48,000 people and loans have been given to 4,037. Now the third phase of these melas is going to start.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that scholarships are being given to the children belonging to the Scheduled Castes in the state. Reservation has been arranged for higher education. At the same time, free coaching is being provided for the preparation of competitive examinations. Free books, uniforms and stationery are being given by the government till Class XII. The college-university do not charge fees from the daughters of poor families. A provision of 10% reservation has been made for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Regular reservation is being given for Medical PG to SC students. With this 'Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Scholarship Scheme' is being run. The scope of the scheme has been extended to all sections.
On this occasion, besides the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, the cabinet ministers Sh. JP Dalal, Sh. Banwari Lal, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Sh. Anoop Dhanak, Sh. OP Yadav, MP, Smt. Sunita Duggal, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, Sh. Ramchandra Jangra, Sh. DP Vats and many dignitaries including Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal were present.
