Chandigarh, June 14 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal called upon  the people of the State to voluntarily donate blood on the occasion of World Blood Donation Day as blood donation is a great service to humanity and timely availability of blood can help in saving one's life.

In a message issued here today, the Chief Minister said that along with the efforts of the Government, some NGOs and other social organizations also motivate people to step forward and donate blood voluntarily by organizing blood donation camps from time to time.

Everyone should come forward for such a noble cause. In the Covid period, the importance of blood donation has substantially increased.

The Chief Minister said that a person who regularly donates blood gets a different kind of respect in the society and he also becomes a source of inspiration for the youth to contribute in this cause.
