Chandigarh, June 23 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has congratulated the daughters of the State for proving their mettle at the recently held Under-17 Asian Championship at Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan. In this competition, out of the total 10 medals, seven have been won by Haryana including six gold and one bronze. Total seven daughters have participated in this event and each one of them won the medal.
Congratulating the athletes, their families, teachers and trainers, for making the country and the state proud, the Chief Minister said that participating in world-class competitions is a great achievement in itself.
“By winning 7 medals, including 6 gold and one bronze, out of the total 10 won by the country our daughters have once again proved why Haryana is known as India’s medal factory,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Notably, India lifted the title with a total of 235 points from eight golds, one silver and one bronze. Japan with 143 points ended up as the runners-up and with 138 points Mongolia finished third.
