Chandigarh, June 23- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the complaints of citizens received regarding income verification being done under Parivar Pehchan Patra will be resolved in the next two months.

For this, Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) have been given overriding power to update the income entered in the PPP by verifying the income on the basis of documents, said Sh. Manohar Lal, who is also the Chairman, of Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority (HPPA), while presiding over the 5th meeting of the Authority, held here today. Deputy Chairperson, Sh. B.K Gairola also remained present on this occasion.

Sh. Manohar Lal directed the officers concerned that for data updation related to PPP, joint training of concerned stakeholders including the Additional Deputy Commissioners should be conducted so that the work of data updation could be completed as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister was apprised that till now more than 67 lakh families are registered with PPP and various options have been created to ease the process of verification, correction module, grievance redressal etc and to facilitate the applicant to get the benefits of government schemes.

Later interacting with the media persons after the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Parivar Pehchan Patra is an ambitious scheme of the State Government and Haryana is the first state to have started such a unique initiative. Due to this, citizens are getting the benefits of more than 500 schemes and services of the government like ration cards, pension, CHIRAYU Haryana, e-fard, caste certificates, income certificates etc. while sitting at their home thus saving their time to visit the offices to get their work done.

More than 8.18 lakh complaints related to PPP have been settled

The Chief Minister further informed that proper arrangements have also been made to settle the complaints of citizens related to PPP. So far 8.64 lakh complaints have been received, out of which more than 8.18 lakh complaints have been disposed of. Apart from this, the officers have been directed to take feedback from the complainants as to how satisfied they are with the settlement of their grievances.

Opposition is certainly going to get a befitting reply from the Public for opposing welfare policies

In response to another question, the Chief Minister said that the present state government is constantly taking new initiatives for the welfare of the people, and has formulated many schemes, which are benefiting the people today. System change is not easy, but the acceptance of new initiatives increases on the basis of experiences, he added.

“Today, the citizens of the state are getting the benefits of government schemes in an easy and hassle-free manner. The opposition says that they will discontinue PPP, portal and merit-based recruitment system. The more the opposition will criticize our welfare policies, the more befitting reply they will get from the Public,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Responding to a question regarding ‘Mahagathbandhan’, the Chief Minister said that such things keep happening in a democracy. There was a time when Congress was synonymous with governance, however after the emergency public got awakened and understood the power of the vote to show doors to Congress. ‘Janta Janardan’ knows everything, they can very well know the difference between right and wrong and takes decisions very carefully.

Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Principal Secretary, Citizen Resources Information Department, Sh. V. Umashankar, Chief Executive Officer, Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority, Sh. Vikas Gupta and other senior officers also remained present on this occasion.
