Chandigarh, June 3: Amid an expected third wave of COVID-19 which is likely to affect children, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has directed the officers concerned to ramp up their health arrangements at the CHC level along with increasing the number of Children wards well in advance.
"Though now a downtrend in the number of daily active cases has been seen but still COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour should be followed religiously," said the Chief Minister while presiding over the meeting of Deputy Commissioners held here today.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioners apprised the Chief Minister about the strategies being adopted by them for combating the second wave. The Deputy Commissioners were directed to remain vigilant for the expected possibility of a third wave.
"If the need of making additional arrangement of beds and rooms is felt at CHC levels, then the works regarding this should be made at the earliest", directed the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister further directed that the number of oxygen beds should also be increased along with keeping the multidisciplinary teams conducting health checkups in villages on alert for better coordination. If needed, the second round of health checkups should also be conducted, directed Sh. Manohar Lal.
Ambulance to be stationed at every CHCs
The Chief Minister said that an ambulance should be stationed round the clock at every CHC so that people visiting these CHCs should get timely treatment and if required any critical patient should be immediately referred to the nearest district office. Every ambulance which would be stationed near these CHCs should have a maximum life support system, directed the Chief Minister.
Emphasis on increasing facilities at AYUSH wellness Centres
The Chief Minister said that a plan should be made to make people aware about following a healthy lifestyle so that they fall less sick further saving their hospital visits too. For this, health facilities should be boosted at AYUSH wellness centres so that people can remain hale and hearty.
"More focus should be given on promoting Ayurveda, Yoga among the people and for making these arrangements a provision of required budgetary allocations should be made," directed Sh. Manohar Lal.
Expedite the work of income verification
The Chief Minister said that Parivar Pehchan Patra is State Government's ambitious scheme and under this scheme, a target of uplifting the families having the lowest income has been set, while this work would be done in a phased manner after verifying the family income of every such family. A five-member team has been constituted for this task, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Work with the mantra of serving the society, says Chief Minister
Every Deputy Commissioner while inculcating the feeling of serving the society should render their services in this hour of crisis. good teamwork is key for putting up a tough fight against this Pandemic as team efforts certainly makes any herculean task easier to achieve, said Sh. Manohar Lal while interacting with the Deputy Commissioners.
‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ scheme reviewed
‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ scheme would be considered complete when the information of every inch of land would be updated on the portal along with the complete data about which crop has been sown in how many acres and area, said the Chief Minister while discussing the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ scheme.
He said that the last year, an incentive amount of Rs 7,000 was given to the farmers for adopting crop diversification in place of Paddy. He said that now there is a plan to give incentive to those farmers too who will keep their fields empty so as to increase the land fertility. The government is planning to expand this scheme further, said the Chief Minister.
Everyone has the right to hold a peaceful protest
The Chief Minister while giving necessary directions to the Deputy Commissioners regarding peaceful protest said in a democratic society everyone has to follow certain rules and regulations and in order to run the societal system smoothly one has to keep aside the thinking of doing things as per their wishes.
“In a democracy, everyone has a right to protest peacefully. We never object to anyone holding peaceful movement, but if somebody intentionally disturbs law and order in the name of any movement, then certainly this cannot be tolerated,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Ensure authentic and accurate information reaches the people
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that a system should be made so as to ensure that accurate and authentic information reaches the people through the media. He also directed the officers concerned to ensure timely updating of necessary data on the Hrheal portal so that the amount fixed by the government can be paid to the private hospitals at the earliest.
Conduct random audit of private hospitals
The Chief Minister, while interacting with the media persons after chairing the review meeting said that strict cognizance of the complaints regarding private hospitals fleecing the patients has been taken.
“A random audit of private hospitals would be done. For this district-level committees have been formed, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Responding to another question, he said that the result of the class 10th examination will be out soon, while the result of the class 12th examination will be released after fixing the criteria. He said that for those students who are not satisfied with their exam results, a provision of conducting the examinations would be made once normalcy prevails.

Rajeev Arora, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. V. Umashankar and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal and Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Smt. Ashima Brar were also present.
