Chandigarh, June 3: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a survey regarding the water drainage system of Karnal will be conducted before the rainy season. He directed the municipal corporation commissioner to constitute a team of all the engineers and get the survey done at the earliest.
The Chief Minister was interacting with the people at Karnal’s Ward No. 14 today. He also listened to the grievances of the people and issued necessary directions to the officials to resolve them.
He directed the officials to prepare a list of all the colonies facing the problem of water-logging and conduct a survey to fix the problem of drainage. Besides, he also directed the officials to launch a special campaign regarding basic facilities like water, sewerage, drains, drainage etc, before the monsoon and to initiate work on these at the earliest.
Meanwhile, on the demand of the locals, the Chief Minister directed the officials to open common service centres (CSCs) for the people of the area; so that they do not have to travel far to apply for schemes and get the facility nearby.
He said that the state government has brought many radical changes in the system and has simplified the transfer policy so that the people do not have to make rounds of the offices. With this, the teachers of the state are happy. They have been transferred according to their zone and this is the first time that teachers have been transferred on the basis of seniority list. “This policy will be implemented in all such departments where there are more than 80 employees. In this, a provision has been made to give exemption to women,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that during the tenure of the present state government, jobs are being given on the basis of merit and ability, which has brought transparency. Also, the state government has launched CHIRAYU Haryana Yojana along with Ayushman Bharat Yojana, to provide health facilities to the poor families. He said that about 765 people of Ward No. 14 have got their Ayushman CHIRAYU cards made and have also got their treatment done in a private hospital.
He appealed to the people to get their Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) made as all schemes and policies are being prepared on the basis of this. He said that the PPP has been made necessary to avail the benefit of any scheme.
