Chandigarh, March 23: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal on Tuesday paid tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru on their martyrdom day. He said that the country will always remain indebted to these great freedom fighters for their supreme sacrifice to safeguard the Nation. Their sacrifice would remain a source of inspiration for the coming generations, he said.
The Nation will always be grateful to these brave martyrs who embraced gallows on March 23, 1931, to liberate the country from British Rule. The sacrifice of these great sons of Maa Bharati will remain an inspiration for every generation of the country,” said Sh. Manohar Lal in his address from Chandigarh during a Webinar organized on the Shaheedi Diwas. The Webinar was organized in Karnal as a part of nation-wide blood and plasma donation campaign ‘Samvedna’ an international blood and plasma donation awareness campaign organized by the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA).
Shaheed Bhagat Singh's nephew Sh. Abhay Singh Sandhu, Shaheed Rajguru’s nephew, Sh. Satyasheel Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev's grandson, Sh. Anuj Thapar, graced the occasion in the programme held at Karnal district.
The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great pride that on the Shaheedi Diwas NIFAA under this unique ‘Samvedna’ campaign would be organizing 1637 blood donation camps across the country.
Sh. Manohar Lal while calling upon the youth said that everyone should seek inspiration from the martyrdom of these great sons to uphold the pride and glory of our county.
"The legends of the martyrs would always remind us of our rich heritage. Let us pay tributes to these martyrs by following the path of integrity, bravery and patriotism as shown by them," said Sh. Manohar Lal.
On this occasion, a message of President of India, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind was also played. Gita Manishi Swami Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj also shared his views.
