Chandigarh, March 27: While reiterating his commitment towards Antyodaya, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, has directed the officers to complete the task of identifying one lakh very needy families in the state at the earliest. The Chief Minister was presiding over a review meeting held in his office in this regard.
The Chief Minister said that after the survey, the income of the very needy one lakh families of the state has to be brought above Rs. 1 lakh annually. For this, 3.52 lakh families of the state with minimum income have been identified so far. One lakh families will be selected from these. For this, local committees have been constituted which will do the work of estimating the income of these families. These committees are working under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioners.
The Chief Minister said that the officers should be sensitive towards the society. It is the responsibility of the authorities to work for the socio-economic upliftment of the society.
The Chief Minister said that the work of welfare of the society will be done on the basis of available data. Now the socio-economic upliftment system has to be implemented through Additional Deputy Commissioners. Only the officer who is sensitive towards society can do this work.
During this time, the Chief Minister was apprised by the Additional Deputy Commissioners in this regard and directed them to resolve the issues faced during the course of this work.
Senior officers of various departments were present during the meeting and Additional Deputy Commissioners of all the districts were connected through video conferencing.
