Chandigarh, May 13- The meeting of the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and Department High Powered Purchase Committee (DHPPC) chaired by Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today approved the purchases of goods and items to be procured by various departments worth more than Rs. 450 crore.
Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Chautala and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak are also remained present on this occasion.
Later while addressing the media persons, Sh. Manohar Lal while divulging the meeting details said that a total of 17 agendas of eight departments namely Irrigation and Wate Resources, Civil Aviation, Haryana Roadways Engineering Corporation (HREC), Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPLN), Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), HAREDA and New and Renewable Energy, Printing and Stationary were tabled in the meeting. Out of which 14 agendas were approved.
While responding to another question, the Chief Minister said that in the last two days, there have been no power cuts and soon the State Government will start getting additional power from the Bhakra power plant as well.
Responding to a question regarding, Panchayat elections he said that all the required formalities have been completed by the State Government. Now the Election Commission has to take a final call on this as to when to hold the elections, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Recent incidents in Punjab are certainly a matter of concern. Given security concerns, Haryana is also keeping a close vigil to ensure law and order situation remains intact, said Sh. Manohar Lal while responding to a question regarding a recent security breach incident in Punjab.
On the issue of giving water to Delhi, Chief Minister said that Delhi is getting its legitimate share from Haryana, keeping aside the fact that whether Haryana will get water share from Punjab or not, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
