Chandigarh, May 17: The World Health Organization (WHO) today presented 100 Oxygen concentrators to Haryana Chief Minister in the first phase in Gurugram. WHO representative, National Professional Officer and Regional Team Leader North India, Dr. Vishesh handed over the concentrators to the Chief Minister on behalf of WHO. 

The Chief Minister thanked the World Health Organization and said that the State Government is working as per the guidelines of WHO to reduce the impact of COVID-19 pandemic in Haryana.

WHO's National Professional Officer, Dr. Vishesh said that his organization stands with the people of India in this crisis and expresses its condolences to the families who have lost their relatives in this pandemic.

Dr. Vishesh assured the Chief Minister that the WHO will continue to work with the Government of India and the State Governments till the end of this pandemic.  He said that WHO is helping India to fill the gap in terms of availability of oxygen, testing kits and hospital beds.

Dr. Vishesh said that apart from those working for COVID-19, more than 2600 technical officers of WHO are helping the government in TB eradication and immunization and NCD program.

MLA, Pataudi, Sh. Satya Prakash Jarawta was also present on the occasion.
