Chandigarh, May 2 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while interacting with the villagers of Dhurala village in Kurukshetra district during a Jan Samvad Programme held today assured the villagers that every demand regarding development works which have been raised put before him will be fulfilled at the earliest. 

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the present state government is paying utmost attention towards ensuring basic development facilities in every corner of Haryana. Dedicated efforts have been made to further strengthen roads and infrastructure of colleges, universities, medical colleges and health services. 

He said that today people are getting direct benefits of the welfare schemes being run by the state government. People do not have to stand in queues to get benefits of any scheme, the delivery of benefits to the beneficiaries have been made available online, added the Chief Minister. 

44,000 new ration cards generated in Kurukshetra district only

The Chief Minister said that through Parivar Pehchan Patra the government has made database of all the families. Ration cards have been automatically made of families having annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh. For the automated ration card project, Kurukshetra was the first district selected under the pilot project and till now 44,000 new ration cards generated in Kurukshetra district only, he informed. 

The Chief Minister shared that in this village 2654 people have got their Ayushman card and of these 523 such beneficiaries have taken advantage of this scheme and an amount of Rs 52.33 lakh has been spent by the government. 

He said that the state government has also made arrangements for giving automated pension benefits to elderly persons through PPP. Such beneficiaries now do not have to make rounds of the offices to get their pension benefits. 13 beneficiaries of this village are availing the automated pension facility, shared Sh. Manohar Lal. 

Sarpanches can get the cleaning work related to the ponds done at their own level

The Chief Minister while talking to about 10 Sarpanches of nearby villages assured them that they can get the cleaning work related to the ponds done at their own level. For this, they have to give in writing to the local BDPO office and whatever funds are required will be provided to them. He also assured to fulfill the demands received from the Sarpanches related to community and health centres, road, water drainage etc.

Playway schools are being opened across the state

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is opening playway schools to impart quality education. Playway schools will also be opened in Dhurala village. He said that in the last financial year, an amount of Rs 1.15 crore has been spent for development works.

On this occasion, MLA, Shahabad, Sh. Ram Karan Kala, Political Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Krishan Bedi and many other dignitaries remained present on this occasion.
