Chandigarh, May 6- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, while presiding over an important meeting with Administrative Secretaries to review the implementation of CM announcements here today, directed the officers concerned to expedite the work of each project.

During the meeting, while reviewing the announcement made in the year 2015 to build a warehouse in Punhana, which is still incomplete, taking strict cognizance of the delay, the Chief Minister directed the Administrative Secretary to form a committee to investigate the entire matter and take action against the guilty.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the projects of various departments including Medical Education and Research, Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Revenue and Disaster Management, School Education, Public Works (Building and Roads), Development and Panchayat, Irrigation, Sports and Urban Local Bodies.

Directing the Administrative Secretaries, the Chief Minister said that the announcements pending till the year 2020 should be completed in this year itself so that the general public can get the benefit of these projects at the earliest. He further directed the officers to prepare PERT charts for all the projects so as to get a clear picture of the project completion deadline.

Besides this, the implementation of the projects of the year 2021, 2022 should also be expedited, directed by the Chief Minister.  He further directed all administrative secretaries to conduct regular review meetings of CM announcements.

The Chief Minister directed that after necessary study of the projects, a separate list should be prepared of such projects, which are not yet feasible so that the actual number of pending announcements could be ascertained. Apart from this, the works which have been in progress should also be completed at the earliest, directed Sh. Manohar Lal.

Primary school will open in Hakikat Nagar Karnal

While reviewing the announcement regarding opening a primary school in Hakikat Nagar Karnal, the officers apprised the Chief Minister that the school will become functional after the summer vacation.

Reviewing the CM's announcement of inclusion of some villages of Siwani tehsil from Bhiwani district to Hisar district, Sh. Manohar Lal directed that a team should be constituted for this purpose and gram sabha meetings should be held with the sarpanches of all these villages so as to educate the people regarding this issue. After obtaining the consent, the decision will be taken accordingly, directed by the Chief Minister.

Reviewing the construction of the platform at Anaj Mandi, Dabwali, the Chief Minister directed that the process in this regard should be completed by this evening and the work should be started at the earliest.

Reviewing the announcement to make officers' houses at various places, the Chief Minister directed that an action plan should be prepared for the construction of officers' houses or flats at each Sub-Division, so that officers can have good accommodation arrangements and the work of the Sub-Division can also function smoothly, asserted Sh. Manohar  Lal.

He said that in the initial phase, an action plan should be prepared for the Sub-Divisions which are far away from the district headquarters.

The responsibility of maintenance of parks and vyayamshalas should be handed over to AYUSH

The Chief Minister directed that the responsibility of maintenance of parks and vyayamshalas built in villages should be handed over to the AYUSH department.  He also directed that for the projects in the villages where land is required to be purchased, the purchase of land should be done through e-Bhoomi portal only after a thorough study of the rates and for this work Sarpanchs and  Zila Parishads should be involved.

On the announcements regarding construction of new roads and repair of various roads, Sh. Manohar Lal said that first priority will be given to repair work of old roads. After that new roads will be constructed as per requirement and demand. He said that the maintenance work of the roads made by the Marketing Board would be done by the Zila Parishad.

The Chief Minister also directed that a meeting should be held with NHAI after making a list of all the road projects for which work is to be done jointly with the National Highways Authority of India so that the projects can be completed soon.

Of 9962 CM announcements 6555 completed

The Chief  Minister was apprised that a total of 9962 CM announcements have been made from the year 2014 to 2023, out of which work on 6555 announcements has been completed and  1179 are still in progress.

Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department, Dr. Sumita Misra, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning Departments, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department, Sh. Anil Malik, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, Commissioner and Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal, Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Sh. Vikas Gupta, OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Sudhansu Gautam and other officers also remained present on this occasion.
