Chandigarh, November 17- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today said that a committee has been formed to control pollution, which will include engineers, Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of  Gurugram besides officers of the concerned departments.  This committee will brainstorm on reducing pollution and suggest measures for it.  He also said that implementation of odd-even rule is also being considered to control pollution.  Apart from this, the directions of the Supreme Court will be strictly followed.

The Chief Minister was interacting with the media representatives after presiding over the monthly meeting of District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram district today.  In this meeting, 16 complaints were placed before the Chief Minister, out of which 14 were disposed off on the spot.  Apart from the agenda, the Chief Minister also listened to the problems of public interest raised by the nominated members of the committee and directed the concerned officers to resolve them.

Responding to the questions of media representatives, the Chief Minister said that in the areas under Rule 7A, registry has been banned without NOC so that illegal colonies do not develop in the cities.  A portal was opened to regularize the illegal colonies formed over the years, through which about 1,200 colonies have been registered in the state.  After regularizing them as per rules, the remaining old colonies will be given a chance to register and the portal will be re-opened.  All of them will have to pay the development fee.

Responding to a question regarding the theft of cash in Kherkidaula police station area, the Chief Minister said that the SIT is investigating the matter.  Those who filed the complaint had earlier said that Rs 50 lakh was stolen, after that this amount has been said to have increased to Rs 4 crore.  Discussions are going on in this matter in many ways, but on the basis of investigation, further action will be taken and no guilty will be spared.

Responding to a question regarding advertisements being put up illegally in Gurugram city, the Chief Minister said that this matter had come up in the meeting of the Grievance Redressal Committee today.  He said that Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has launched a campaign to remove illegal advertisements over the last 15 days.  In the last five years, about Rs. 62 crore for advertisement have been deposited in the corporation.  Apart from this, about Rs. 400 crore as advertisement dues on behalf of many companies is pending as these cases are pending in the court.  After the decision of the court, that amount will be recovered from the company.  Now advertisements can be placed only after taking permission.  The corporation has formed teams for this.  In the last two months, 120 FIRs have also been registered against those who have put up advertisements illegally.

He also informed that one foot over bridge has been sanctioned in view of road accidents on Medanta road in front of Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector-38 of Gurugram. Sportspersons keep getting into accidents while entering the stadium.

The Chief Minister also informed that the Municipal Corporation is taking over the colonies of the builder area in a phased manner.  8 colonies of Gurugram city were to be transferred to the Municipal Corporation, out of which 5 have been done.  DLF Phase-3 is also to be transferred in this episode but till the transfer is not done, DLF Phase-3 residents will have to pay the maintenance charges to DLF itself. DLF will have time to complete the infrastructure and basic facilities in this colony by December 31, 2021.  After that, if there is any shortcoming, then the Municipal Corporation will get it assessed and completed by taking money from DLF.

In the matter of installation of street lights in village Babupur of Gurugram district, the Chief Minister has directed to get recovery done from the three accused as well as to register a criminal case against them.  In this case it was told that 200 lights were installed in village Babupur at the rate of Rs 6400 per light whereas the government had fixed the rate of Rs 2400.  The investigation of the case has been completed in which three officials of Panchayati Raj were found guilty, more than Rs 23 lakh is to be recovered from them.  Of these, one has died and two officers have retired four years and seven years ago.

Similarly, 6 persons who have illegally occupied the government land of the corporation since 2008 in village Chakarpur, that illegal occupation will be removed and a park will be made in its place. On the complaint of Daulatabad Road Industrial Association, the Chief Minister said that changes would be made in the plan to show the residential and industrial areas separately in the development plan.

Anil Kumar Rao, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Ajay Gaur, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Yash Garg, Police  Commissioner, Sh. KK Rao, Municipal Commissioner, Sh. Mukesh Ahuja, Administrator of HSVP, Ms. Jaspreet Kaur along with nominated and government members of the committee were present.
