Chandigarh November 19 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal honoured and blessed skating gold medalist Vaibhav Gulati at Karnal district. The Chief Minister said that due to the new Sports Policy of the Haryana Government, the youth's interest towards sports has increased and the players are bringing laurels to the State by winning medals at National and International-level sports events.
Vaibhav Gulati made Karnal district proud by winning 3 gold medals in the 35th Haryana State Speed Roller Competition held in Panchkula recently and is now preparing for the national competition to be held in Delhi.

During this visit, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, while interacting with the mediapersons, extended warm greetings to the people of the State and the country on the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev ji. He said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji is not only the heritage of Sikh community or India but is also an inspiration for the entire humanity. Guru Nanak Dev ji inspired humanity to worship one Supreme God. We should live our life while following his ideals and should also contribute towards social welfare.
Government is determined to completely wipe out corruption - Chief Minister
Replying to a question, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the government is determined to completely wipe out corruption. Wherever complaints of corruption are received, immediate action is taken by the government. It is the result of this that the Vigilance Bureau has taken action by recovering Rs 1 crore from the Deputy Secretary of HPSC. Corruption was at its peak during the regimes of the opposition. Earlier, no action was taken on such people by the government. He reiterated today that corruption will not be allowed to flourish under any circumstances and a corrupt person will not be spared.
Chief Minister listened to the problems of the common people
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal met the common people at the rest house of the Public Works Department and resolved their problems. Senior officials, including Mayor Renu Bala Gupta and Chief Minister's representative Sanjay Bathla were also present on the occasion.
