Chandigarh, November 28- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has today assured the representatives of Delhi-based business associations that the Haryana Government is looking for possibilities to set up Delhi's wholesale market in Haryana.

Meanwhile, the members of various business associations of Delhi including Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk to Sadar Bazar, Khari Baoli, Naya Bazar, Chemical Market, Daryaganj, East Delhi, West Delhi Market, Delhi Marble Dealers Association and Transport Association today met Chief Minister at Haryana Bhavan regarding expansion or shifting of their business.

During the meeting, Chief Minister assured the association members that if the wholesale market shifts, then they will be able to continue their business in the space allotted by the State Government for setting up a wholesale market in the adjacent part of Haryana.

The traders openly praised the business-friendly policies of the Haryana government and said that all traders agreed that State is a safe place for business.

The Chief Minister said that business associations related to wholesale business should place their demands before the Haryana government, after that a comprehensive plan for the market establishment will be prepared by coordinating with the officers concerned in which all aspects related to business will be taken care of.

All the basic needs and facilities needed by banks, hotels, transport, for setting up accommodation of workers, the market for goods of daily needs, etc will be provided and important suggestions of business associations will also be taken for this, assured Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that if the need arises, the Haryana government will also come up with a warehousing policy for the wholesale market traders of Delhi.

Meanwhile, during the meeting heads and office bearers of different associations of Delhi's big wholesale market remained present and said they feel that Delhi is not so business friendly now because the area of market space is becoming narrower and pollution is also increasing which is certainly having an adverse effect on the environment. Also as per Delhi’s master plan, talks are also going on for shifting this market from here. In such a situation, there can be no better place than Haryana for setting up a new wholesale market for the traders of Delhi.

The association members said that the way Haryana has given a proper place to Electric Market and Kirana Market, in the same way, if the wholesale market is also given a place, then huge dimensions will be established. Traders will give revenue to the government and they will also get a chance to do business freely, which will benefit them.

Kuldeep Chahal, on behalf of the business associations, said that the meeting held with Chief Minister today was very fruitful.
