Chandigarh, November 9 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the people at the Jan Samvad held at Bilaspur, district Yamunanagar, said that Haryana is the first state where people are easily availing the benefits of government schemes through the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP). No other state has such a scheme, he said.
The Chief Minister said that in this transparent IT system, automated pension start as soon as the beneficiary turns 60. In the past nine years the lives of the residents have been made prosperous through comprehensive development works and welfare schemes carried out by the state government, he said.
Before the Jan Samvad, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for the construction of four new roads in the Sadhaura assembly constituency, along with the construction of a bridge over the Lohgarh River, and a road from Bhagwanpur to Lohgarh Sahib Gurudwara Road. During this event, three specially-abled individuals were also provided with motorized tricycles, and the stalls established by the Haryana livelihood mission were also inspected.
During the Samvad, the Chief Minister interacted with village heads, elders, youth, and women to understand their issues and developmental needs. He assured that every complaint or demand letter they received would be thoroughly scrutinized and addressed. The tasks at the district level will be resolved promptly, and those related to Chandigarh will also be expedited, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister expressed a deep connection with Bilaspur, having stayed there for a long time. He reminisced about old memories that come alive when names like local mela, the Saraswati River, and other historical places are mentioned. He recalled walking from Adi Badri to Pipli in the year 1985-86 and highlighted that at that time, there was no development. One had to stop when crossing the river. However, now, development projects have been rapidly executed. He said that in the past nine years, record-breaking development works have been carried out. The money spent on development is for the people’s benefit and should be utilized for their welfare. This philosophy has driven their work, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Regarding a complaint about drug-related activities on the road from Kanwala village to Devdhar, the Chief Minister immediately directed the Police to take action and strongly deal with those involved in such activities. He said to attach the properties of those involved in drug trafficking for immediate action.
He also directed the removal of a checkpoint on the Saraswati Bridge on the Sadhaura Road in Bilaspur. During the Samvad, the Chief Minister directed the Block Development and Panchayat Officer to survey the villages and pass proposals for community halls and barat ghar if Panchayati land is available, ensuring prompt facilitation without delay.
During the interaction, concerns were raised about stray animals and the absence of a cow shelter in the area. The Chief Minister stated that in villages where there is ample Panchayati land if there is more than 10 acres available and they offer it for a cow shelter, construction will commence. The expenses for this will be made available through the Gaushala Service Commission.
The Chief Minister said that under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, 234 people in Bilaspur have availed of medical facilities, costing Rs.63.42 lakh. Additionally, 3584 people have received Ayushman cards, and 1150 are receiving pensions under the Social Security Pension Scheme, he said.
The Chief Minister further directed the officers concerned to conduct surveys for people whose houses were damaged due to heavy rains. The officers were also directed to facilitate the such people as per the provisions of the Dr. BR Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojna.
Deputy Commissioner, Captain Manoj, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Ganga Ram Punia and other officers also remained present on this occasion.
