Chandigarh, October 17 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal has unveiled an ambitious plan to establish an Ola and Uber-style system for immediate ambulance assistance to patients in need. Under this initiative, a unified pool of both government and private ambulances across the state will be created. Patients will receive prompt assistance from the nearest available ambulance, ensuring timely and efficient medical care.
The Chief Minister revealed this during the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee held in Faridabad on Tuesday. Out of the 13 cases brought forward in the meeting, 10 were promptly addressed. He also highlighted the importance of essential medicines and added that out of the 510 medicines required, specific instructions have been issued to ensure the availability of 65 critical medications in hospitals at all times.
During the meeting, addressing a woman's complaint concerning a loan from The Friends Cooperative Building Construction Society, the Chief Minister directed for the immediate suspension of Deputy Registrar Cooperative Socieities Yashpal and dealing Clerk Jasbir. During the previous meeting, the Chief Minister had instructed that corrective action be taken; however, the matter remained unaddressed due to laxity.
Chief Minister announces redevelopment of Sarai Khwaja School
During the meeting, the Chief Minister bestowed a significant gift upon the people of Faridabad district. Recognizing the dire state of affairs at the Government School of Sarai Khwaja (Arya Nagar), and considering the significant student population of over 6,000, he announced to reconstruct the new building of the school and to give 1.66 acres of adjacent land to the school. To facilitate this, he also directed the cancellation of the previously planned shopping complex project for the land, which had been proposed back in 2001.
Grants five-year House Tax exemption to newly incorporated villages in MC
With regard to issuing house tax notices to villages newly incorporated into the Municipal Corporation, the Chief Minister clarified that these villages are entitled to a five-year exemption from house tax following their inclusion. He directed the Municipal Corporation Commissioner to ensure that the software incorporates this exemption and that the villagers are promptly informed that they are not required to pay house tax.
During the meeting, directives were issued to take action against the unauthorized installation of a mobile tower on the roof of a dilapidated house in Om Enclave, without proper permissions, as well as preparations for the construction of a third tower. The Chief Minister said that legal action should be taken against both the property owner and the mobile company involved. He also instructed the immediate removal of all three mobile towers.
Addressing the drainage issue in Ballabhgarh's sectors, the Chief Minister instructed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to lay a new sewer line within three months. In the interim, a temporary pump should be installed to channel water into the Agra Canal. Regarding unauthorized construction in Hewo Society, the Chief Minister said that a committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner had been formed. Those with objections can register them with this committee.
In a heartfelt reminder to the people of the district, the Chief Minister commemorated the historic significance of October 17, 1949. On this day, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, had laid the foundation for NIT 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in the city. This momentous occasion marked the initiation of a modern colony that emerged in a forested area, providing a new home for those who had to leave behind everything during the partition. These planned areas have evolved over the years, becoming a significant milestone in terms of development and growth.
Chief Minister provides Rs 1 lakh financial aid to a needy following Jan Samvad discussion
Prior to the meeting, Chief Minister displayed his compassionate commitment by providing financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to Mr. Ranjit Kumar Rai, a resident of Etmadpur in the city. During the Chief Minister's online Samvad program last Saturday, Mr. Ranjit Kumar Rai had shared his problem, highlighting that he has three daughters and faces financial hardship, compounded by his visual impairment. Moved by his plight, the Chief Minister promptly instructed Deputy Commissioner to arrange immediate financial support for Mr. Rai. In swift response, the Chief Minister presented a check of Rs 1 lakh to Mr. Ranjit Kumar Rai even before the commencement of the meeting.
