Chandigarh, Sept 15 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal said that the top priority for the state government is to address the concerns and demands of its citizens. The Jan Samvad program, launched on April 2, plays a pivotal role in achieving this goal. Therefore, all administrative officers must diligently address public complaints and demands, with the utmost focus on ensuring the complainants' satisfaction.
During a review meeting with Administrative Secretaries regarding the Jan Samvad Portal, the Chief Minister highlighted that while the government formulates policies, it is the officers' responsibility to implement them. They should ensure that government scheme benefits reach eligible citizens without hindrance. He said that to provide benefits to the public, if there has to be a change in the policies, initiative has to be taken in the court or any amendment has to be made in the law, then the government is ready for that also. The government's sole objective is to work for the welfare of the people.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister spoke with an individual over the phone, and the youth confirmed that the CM had kept his promise
During the meeting, to get feedback on a complaint, the Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister called Satbir over phone. He mentioned that during a Jan Samvad program in Tosham in April, he had presented the demand for the reinstatement and relief of dismissed PTI teachers. The Chief Minister had assured appropriate action, and later, they were appointed to schools through HKRN. The PTI teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Chief Minister fulfilling his promise.
Chief Minister issued strict instructions: no officer or employee should incorrectly resolve complaints
The Chief Minister stressed that after resolving all complaints and demands registered on the Jan Samvad Portal, the reporting individual is contacted by the confirmation cell to gauge their satisfaction with the resolution. Therefore, no officer or employee should provide inaccurate information or resolve reports incorrectly. As soon as a complaint or demand is registered on the portal, the concerned citizen receives SMS updates. In addition, information about the actions being taken by the relevant department and officer is also communicated via SMS.
Administrative Secretaries should continually review complaints
Instructing all administrative secretaries, the Chief Minister emphasized regular checks of the Jan Samvad portal to monitor the resolution status of complaints within their respective departments. Projects such as the establishment of schools, colleges, ITIs, sports stadiums, and other state-wide initiatives should be separately tracked and developed based on the region's needs.
