Chandigarh, September 11 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today said that the Government feels that the landowners of 1810 acres of acquired land for the expansion of Industrial Model Township (IMT) Manesar in Gurugram should get more benefits in context with the present scenario. For that, the government is ready to make a special policy, but the new policy will be made only with the consent of the villagers.

The Chief Minister said that since this matter was in the court for a long time and now after the decision of the Supreme Court, the land has been acquired. Now the difference lies in the rates. The rates were very low at the time of acquisition in the year 2010, on which the government also feels that farmers should get more benefits according to the present time. The Chief Minister said this while interacting with the mediapersons after presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee at the Freedom Fighter Zilla Parishad Bhawan located in Civil Lines, Gurugram on Sunday.

While responding to a question regarding illegal mining, the Chief Minister said that complaints are being received continuously in this regard, on which immediate action is being taken by the concerned department. On the basis of a complaint received in the past, 05 vehicles (dumpers) and cranes were impounded at one place on the same day. The Chief Minister said that there is a ban on mining operations as per the order of the court, so mining will not be allowed anywhere.

In another question regarding the CBI to probe in the investigation of BJP leader, Sonali Phogat case, the Chief Minister said that this matter is with the Goa government. The Haryana government also wants a CBI inquiry into this case. For this, the Home Department of Haryana Government and the Chief Minister himself has written a letter to the Government of Goa. Goa Police is currently investigating this entire matter, on which they have said that once our investigation is completed, even after that, if Sonali Phogat's family is not satisfied with the investigation, then the investigation of the case will be further handed over to the CBI.

Responding to another question regarding online transfer of teachers, the Chief Minister said that rationalization has been done to correct the ratio of teachers and students. He informed that the decision of the court states that transfer of TGT and PGT should be done first, followed by transfer of guest teachers. Now TGTs and PGTs have been transferred and 8,000 guest teachers will also be transferred by this evening or tomorrow, after which there will be no shortage of teachers in schools.
