Chandigarh, March 3: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the present state government is focusing on promoting the good things of history and ethics in education. The Chief Minister was addressing as a special guest during the ‘Har Ghar Dhyan’ programme on meditation and mental health organized by Art of Living and Delhi University at the university premises today. Padma Vibhushan Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji, the founder of Art of Living, was present as the chief guest on the occasion.

Gita Jayanti Mahotsav will be celebrated in Australia next month: Chief Minister

The Chief Minister said that Gita Jayanti is being celebrated in every district and block level of the state to spread the message and education of Gita. He said that with the efforts of the state government; the Gita Jayanti Mahotsav has been taken to international level, under which it has been celebrated in countries like England, Canada and Mauritius. He said that the Gita Jayanti Mahotsav will be celebrated in Australia next month.

Stating about meditation and peace, the Chief Minister said that initially one can get rid of stress by adopting meditation. Apart from this, stress can be eliminated by yoga. He said that initially meditation and setting direction are necessary to eliminate stress. “Overcoming difficulties leads to many avenues,” he added.

Being an alumni of the Delhi University, the Chief Minister was fecilitated with a symbolic degree. He expressed gratitude to the Delhi University for this honour and extended his best wishes to the students and for the centenary celebrations of ‘Har Ghar Dhyan’ programme.

Padma Vibhushan Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of Art of Living, in his address stated about mental health and relieving stress. He said that we all have to create positive energy together and build a beautiful society with positivity and spread happiness.

Prof KP Singh and Prof Vikas Gupta also addressed the gathering on this occasion. During the programme, an agreement was also signed between Delhi University and Art of Living for 'Har Ghar Dhyan'.
