Chandigarh, July 4– Extolling the selfless service of doctors of COVID Hospital BPS Medical College Khanpur Kalan (Sonepat), Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal motivated them with the reward of promotion. He also congratulated the dedicated hospital staff for working diligently during COVID-19.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal was inspecting the BPS Medical College Khanpur Kalan today and during a special meeting with the doctors he immediately agreed to the demand of promotion made by assistant professors and directed them to send a report in this regard within a week.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister praised the hospital personnel and also sought information about the doctors, staff nurses and other para-medical staff working in the hospital.
The Chief Minister said that the COVID Hospital set up at BPS Medical College has given excellent results, as a result of which most of the corona infected patients admitted to the hospital have recovered and returned home. Although, it is a challenging time not only for Sonepat but for the entire state, country and the world. The corona virus is a worldwide pandemic and everyone is wary of it.
The Chief Minister said that the doctors are honestly and responsibly rendering their services. Along with this, the entire administration is busy overcoming Corona with full diligence. People are coming forward to play the role of Corona warriors through Social organizations and as volunteers. While keeping the important work aside, several people are working to increase the availability of essential goods for Corona. He gave the example of the Maruti Company, which has stopped manufacturing cars for the time being and has taken steps to manufacture ventilators. In fact the company has also presented some ventilators to the state government, which have been sent to various hospitals. Similarly, many volunteer support groups have done exemplary work of making masks.
The Chief Minister said that every person should use a mask. This puts a check on the spread of the global pandemic and hoped to soon get rid of the corona virus pandemic.
During the meeting with the doctors, the Chief Minister earnestly discussed the demand of the need of school in the campus and said that an excellent school would be established here for the children of hospital personnel and those residing in the surrounding areas. He sought information on the availability of land along with its prospects and also discussed the establishment of the Government Model Sanskrit Senior Secondary School in the area.
Mr. Manohar Lal also made a special visit to the infected patients undergoing treatment at COVID Hospital. He himself visited the COVID ward wearing a PPE kit. During this, he also wished for their good health. He also asked the patients about any problems they might be facing to which they responded that they were satisfied with the treatment. The Chief Minister hoped that nothing was lacking in the treatment being provided to the patients.
Besides this, the Chief Minister also inaugurated 12 newly built park-Vyayamshalas in various blocks of Sonepat district at a cost of Rs. 4,38,23,000. These include Vyayamshalas in village Dubheta in Gannaur block worth Rs 45,40,000 and in Bajan Khurd worth Rs 34,13,000 and in Gumad worth Rs 39,36,000 and in Bhadi worth Rs 40,50,000. Also, in Guhana block in village Bilbilan Vyayamshala was set up at a cost of Rs. 45,40,000, in Mahra at a cost of Rs 45,40,000 and in Kasanda Rs. 33,88,000, in Mundlana village of Mundlana block worth Rs 45,40,000 and in Siwanaka worth Rs. 45,40,000, in Sandal Nivada in Sonepat block worth Rs 31,38,000 and the park-Vyayamshala constructed at a cost of Rs 31,98,000 in Farmana village of Kharkhoda block and in Jati Kalan village of Rai block worth Rs. 37,82,000.
