Chandigarh, January 31: Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal at New Delhi today approved the Amendments in Haryana Public Works Department, Public Health Branch, Headquarters Office Ministerial (Group C) Service Rules, 1982. The new Rules will be named as Haryana Public Works Department, Public Health Branch, Headquarters Office Ministerial (Group C) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2020.

As per the new rules, the post of a personal assistant in the department will be filled by promotion from senior pay scale stenographers with three years of experience or by transfer or deputation of an employee already employed in the service of a State Government or Government of India, who is a Graduate from recognized University or its equivalent, having three years of experience as a Personal Assistant and having matriculation in whether higher education Hindi or of a subject education in Sanskrit.

Senior Scale stenographer will be promoted from amongst the Junior Scale Stenographer instead of Steno-typist.

In above service rules new pay scale of 2016 will be reflected.

The matters relating to employee discipline, punishment and appeals will be governed by the Haryana Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules 2016 as amended from time to time. The age of service will be 42 years.
