Chandigarh August 14: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, administered the ‘Oath of office and secrecy’ to newly appointed Chairman of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC), Mr Depinder Singh Dhesi, IAS (Retd.) here today.
Mr Manohar Lal congratulated Mr Dhesi, his family members and well wishers for him being appointed as Chairman of HERC.
The tenure of Mr Dhesi would be five years or upto the age of 65 years whichever is earlier. The Commission comprises of one Chairman and two members.
Mr Dhesi would replace Mr Jagjeet Singh who has completed his tenure as Chairman, HERC on August 12, 2019. A 1982 batch senior IAS officer, Mr Dhesi has served on different important posts in the state and centre government before he retired as Chief Secretary, Haryana on June 30, 2019.
