Besides, the Government has also approved the new pay fixation policy of re-employed Military Pensioners in the State.
- Disclosing this here today, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
- Capt. - The Finance Minister said that if the maximum pay in the level applicable to the post in which a pensioner is re-employed is less than the last basic pay drawn by him before retirement, his initial basic pay would be fixed at such maximum pay of the re-employed post. Similarly, if the minimum pay in the level applicable to the post in which military pensioner is re-employed is more than the last basic pay drawn by him before retirement; his initial basic pay would be fixed at such minimum pay of the re-employed post.
- He said that however, in all these cases, the non-ignorable part of the pension would be reduced from the pay so fixed. This is subject to the maximum ceiling of pay of Rs 2,19,600. The Military pensioners on re-employment would continue to draw the same present House Rent Allowance rates in pre-revised pay structure till further orders, he added.
