  • Chandigarh February 8: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today said that the sacrifice made by Capt. Kapil Kundu would not go in vain and he would always be remembered as a brave son of India. A project would be named after him so that the future generations could take inspiration from the martyr. Capt. Kundu made supreme sacrifice while safeguarding the borders of the country in Rajouri area of Jammu and Kashmir on February 4, 2018.
  • The Chief Minister visited Ransika village in district Gurugram today to express his condolences to the family members of martyr Capt. Kundu. It may be recalled that decision has already been taken to name the road approaching to Government School, Ransika and Bus Stand, Khod after the name of Capt. Kapil Kundu.
  • The body of twenty two years old Capt. Kundu was brought to his native village Ransika on late Monday evening where thousands of people paid tributes to the martyr.
  • The Chief Minister who especially came to console the family members of Capt. Kundu at his home in Ransika village met his mother Mrs Sunita Devi and sisters namely Sonia and Kajal. Mr Manohar Lal conveyed condolences to them and offered letter of ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh given by the State Government.
  • Later on, while interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister said that blessed is the family which has given birth to such a brave son and blessed is the mother who send his only son in the army to serve the Nation. He said not only him but the entire state and country is proud of the sacrifice made by Capt. Kundu.
  • In reply to a question, he said that martyr’s mother has given him a letter and the State Government would sympathetically consider it. Asked about giving employment to the sisters of the martyr, the Chief Minister said that job would be given as per the rules of the State Government. On being asked about the assistance given by the State Government to martyr’s family, he said that as per the policy of the State Government, an amount of Rs 50 lakh has been transferred in the bank account of martyr’s mother only today morning through Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS).
  • The Chief Minister also went to the place where the last rites of Capt. Kundu were performed and paid floral tributes to the martyr. Large numbers of people were gathered outside the martyr’s house in village Ransika. The Chief Minister sat alongwith them and talked about the martyr’s family. He said that Haryana has a huge contribution in protecting the frontiers of the country. Particularly, this area that is Gurugram, Rewari, Mahendergarh, Charkhidadri and Bhiwani has maximum contribution in the armed forces of the country, he added. He said that though the state government would provide all support and cooperation to the martyr’s family, the people of the village should also come forward and assist them in all possible ways.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 8- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that Kesh Kala Kendra’s would be opened in the state so that youth belonging to Sain community could get employment opportunities by conducting courses related to kesh kala.
  • The Chief Minister gave this assurance to a delegation of Sain community led by Chairman, Haryana Kesh Kala and Kaushal Vikas Board, Mr Suresh Sain, who called on him here today.
  • People belonging to Sain community thanked the Chief Minister for appointing Mr Suresh Sain as Chairman of the Board and added that no government has given such respect to the community as has been given by the BJP government since the formation of Haryana.
  • When Mr Suresh Sain urged the Chief Minister that community people should be given a loan for self employment at zero percent interest, the Chief Minister assured that a positive decision would soon be taken in this regard
