Chandigarh, June 10- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has accorded approval to the proposal of creating six new cyber crime police stations, one each at five police Range Headquarters and one at Commissionerate Faridabad at a cost of over Rs 14.38 crore for pay and allowance of staff and over Rs 1.44 crore for purchase of equipment to curb Cyber Crime effectively in the State.

Giving more information about this, an official spokesperson said that presently there are two Cyber Crime Police Stations in the State, one each at two Commissionerates i.e. Panchkula and Gurugram. Keeping in mind the number, nature, and complexity of cyber crime related complaints which the Cyber Crime Police Station at Police Commissionerate and Range Level are required to attend exclusively, Administrative Department (Home) had proposed to create six more Cyber Crime Police Stations in the State viz. Cyber Crime Police Station, Faridabad, Cyber Crime Police Station, South Range, Rewari, Cyber Crime Police Station, Rohtak Range, Rohtak, Cyber Crime Police Station, Hisar Range, Hisar, Cyber Crime Police Station, Karnal Range Karnal, and Cyber Crime Police Station, Ambala Range, Ambala.
