  • Chandigarh, March 30 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that present state government has started several projects on priority basis to ensure all round development of Karnal, out of which 85 per cent works has already been completed and remaining would be completed soon.
  • The Chief Minister was addressing the representatives of various religious, social, academic and trader organizations at Karnal late last evening.
  • These development works includes Kalpana Chawla Medical College, widening of all roads connecting Karnal, installation of seven gates in the memory of prominent people, installation of CCTV’s for safety of citizens, city bus service for convenience of the people of the town, inclusion of Karnal in Smart City list, new bus stand, strengthening the drainage system, beautification of all parks, to make the western bypass to get rid of jam like situation, develop Karan Stadium, multi-story parking arrangements, providing traffic park facilities, strengthening of sewerage systems in all wards and strengthening of roads in the city.
  • Making direct dialogue with the people, he said the suggestions of everyone will be considered to make Karnal a fully developed district.
  • On this occasion, Head of the Bar Association, Nirmal Singh, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving one acre land for the lawyers' chamber. He requested the Chief Minister to set up the Service Matter Tribunal in Karnal. On this, the Chief Minister assured that efforts would be made for the same. He said that after the provision of bio-metric attendance system, all the government officials attend the offices in time.
  • On the question related to the Education Department, the Chief Minister said that online transfer policy of teachers has been successful in stopping the heavy rush of people in Haryana Main Secretariat at Chandigarh for transfer of teachers through brokers and middleman.
  • Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Nayab Singh Saini, OSD to Chief Minister, Mr Amrender Singh and other prominent people were also present on this occasion.
  • Chandigarh, March 30-Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal will announce bonanza for the people of Gurugarm and redress their grievances in Gurugram on March 31 and April 1.
  • While giving this information today, an official spokesman said that on the first day, the Chief Minister would inaugurate the Media Centre equipped with advanced facilities for the convenience of media persons in mini secretariat, Gurugram. The Centre had been equipped with facilities like computers, printers, broadband, telephone, inverters, LED TVs, fridges and adequate seating arrangement.
  • He said that after this, Chief Minister would chair the meeting of District Public Relations and Grievances Committee and would redress the grievances on hearing both the complainants and the department officials. Those invited in this meeting included, MP and Union Minister, Rao Inderjit Singh, Haryana Cabinet Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, MLA, Gurugram, Mr Umesh Aggarwal, MLA Sohna, Mr Tejpal Tanwar, MLA Pataudi, Mrs Bimla Chaudhary and Mayor, Gurugram, Mrs Madhu Azad, Senior Deputy Mayor, Mrs Pramila Kablana and Deputy Mayor, Mrs  Sunita Yadav, Zila Parishad, Chairman, Mr Kalyan Singh Chauhan,  BJP District President, Mr Bhupender Singh Chauhan and others.
  • He said that the Chief Minister would later address the meeting of district officials to review the ongoing development works and progress on development works announced by the Chief Minister for Gurugram.
  • The next day on April 1, the Chief Minister would go around the Wazirabad-Chakarpur Bandh project and also inspect the rejuvenation of Sikandarpur Ghoshi Lake, he added.
