- Chandigarh, March 29 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today said that e-Panchayats will be fully successful in zero tolerance towards corruption and root it out completely.
- Mr Manohar Lal was addressing a large public meeting after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of several projects of Rs 85 crore at Ambala City today.
- He greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti and said that the following the message of non-violence as preached by Bhagwan Adinath to Bhagwan Mahavir, large scale development works are being carried out across the state.
- He said that only those people are objecting to e-panchayts who had an aptitude for creating problems only. He said just like initial problems faced on the implementation of GST, which was later removed, e-panchayat problems arising due to lack of computer knowledge will be overcome in a few months and then the system will perfectly run in abolishing corruption. He urged the people to make the people aware and educate them on the benefits of e-panchayts.
- He said that as many as 150 Antodaya Bhawan will be established upto the level of blocks so as to enable the people residing in villages and wards to avail benefits of about 300 government welfare schemes being implemented for all sections of society. Initially, the facility will be made available in six districts from April 14.
- He said that the middlemen system in giving jobs has completely been abolished and now jobs are being given only on merit basis.
- Later, while interacting with mediapersons, The Chief Minister said that INLD is left only with the task of opposing and showing black flags. The party name should now be black flag party, he said in a teasing tone.
- He assured that all the development projects will be completed in a time bound manner.
- The Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij, Transport Minister, Mr Krishan Lal Pawar, Member of parliament, Mr Ratan Lal Kataria, Minister of State, Nayab Singh Saini and MLAs Mrs Aseem Goyal and Ms Santosh Chauhan Sarvan were present on the occasion.
- Chandigarh, March 29—The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has mourned the sad and untimely death of Ms Penny Chaudhary, co-pilot of an Indian Coast Guard helicopter, and conveyed his condolences to members of the bereaved family.
- Ms Chaudhary who suffered head injuries and internal bleeding after a Coast Guard helicopter she was flying crashed at Raigad in Maharashtra, on March 10, had been on ventilator since then. She breathed her last in Mumbai, last night.
- In a statement issued here today, Mr Manohar Lal said, "The brave and gusty officer from Karnal was one of the youngest women pilots of the country. She was a bright student who worked hard to become a pilot and set an example for others to follow. I convey my heart-felt condolences to members of the bereaved family and pray that her soul may rest in peace”, the Chief Minister added.
