  • Chandigarh April 20: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal directed all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in the State to expedite the process of lifting of wheat from mandis in their respective districts. He also directed them to keep an eye on the vehicles coming from the neighbouring states so as to check the procurement of wheat from other States. It should be ensured that wheat of Haryana farmers is procured first, he added.
  • Mr Manohar Lal was presiding over a meeting with DCs through video conferencing here today to review the progress on various issues. Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries of various departments were also present in the meeting. In all 11 issues were discussed in the meeting.
  • The Chief Minister said that all the DCs would ensure early lifting of wheat from the mandis so as to avoid the dumping of foodgrains. He said that they should hire additional trucks for this purpose. As the procurement of wheat has already started, the movement of vehicles has increased from the neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Punjab, he maintained. 
  • Chandigarh April 20: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal directed the Deputy Commissioners  to get a survey conducted in their respective districts to ensure that there is no household which do not have a gas cylinder. He said that  Haryana has already become a kerosene-free State.

  •  While reviewing the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, he directed the DCs to get a survey conducted through the District Food and Supply Controllers (DFSCs) to ensure that there is no household which do not have gas cylinder. He said that the Haryana has already become kerosene Free State. Gram Swaraj Abhiyan is being run in the State from April 14 to May 5, 2018 under which various programmes are being organized in all villages of the State. He said that facilities of shed, boundary wall, smooth passage and drinking water are to be provided in all 12,400 shamshan ghats and kabristan in the State during this year. He directed the DCs to get these work completed on priority basis through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ensuring public participation.
  • Mr Manohar Lal directed the public health engineering department and power department to make adequate arrangement of drinking water and electricity during the summer season. He was informed that public health engineering department is in constant touch with the departments of irrigation and power and is fully geared up for  the summer season. Last year, the tanker service in the water deficient areas had been started from April 10, but this year this service has already been started from April 1. As many as 245 water tankers have been pressed into service in rural areas and 77 tankers in urban areas. He was also informed that 10,000 MW to 10,500 MW electricity would be available with the Power Department during the peak season from June 15 to September 15 as against the demand of  9000 MW to 10,000 MW.
  • While reviewing the Antyodya Seva Kendra Scheme, he directed the DCs to identify buildings in their respective districts for the remaining 15 Antyodya Bhawans which would be opened by July 15 this year. While identifying the buildings, they would make sure that it should be a prominent place and easily approachable to the people so that people could get the benefit of various welfare schemes under one roof, he added. Antyodya Bhawans have already been opened in seven districts. On the success of these centres at district level, Antyodya Bhawans would also be opened in 51 Sub Divisions and 20 Tehsils.  He directed the DCs to publicize the schemes being provided at Antyodya Bhawans through hoardings, banners and pamphlets so that maximum people get the benefit of the same.
  • The Chief Minister said that a target has been fixed to open 1000 vyayamshalas on two acres of land each in the villages in the State. Out of this, 400 vyayamshalas are ready and these would be inaugurated on May 5, 2018 simultaneously in all districts. He said that on the occasion of International Yoga Day onJune 21, the people of that village would perform yoga in these vyamshalas. Efforts would be made to ensure that maximum people of the State perform yoga on this day, he added.
  • He said that civil service day would be organized in the State on April 21, 2018. The State level function would be held at Panchkula. He said that the civil service day would also be organized at district level also where seminars would be organized on Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY), Pormotion of Cash Less Economy and Deendayal Upadhyaya Gramin Kaushal Yojana. He said that the State Government has allocated one block each to 47 senior officers to work on six to seven parameters to ensure development in these blocks. The DC should ensure that these parameters should also be discussed in these seminars so at to achieve the desired objectives.
  • The Chief Minister said that the State Government has developed online E-bhoomi portal to purchase land from the farmers for various development projects. He said that land would be procured only with the consent of the farmers. The farmers intended to sell their land could upload their request on this portal. So far the government has received procurement offer for 700 to 750 acres of land through this portal, he added.
