Chandigarh, June 21 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said, “Traditional rituals organized for the welfare of the nation on the holy bank of the Brahma Sarovar at Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra during solar eclipse will certainly help in bringing peace and prosperity to the entire world and I am sure that with these sacred rituals performed today, COVID-19 Pandemic would be eradicated from the State as well as the Nation.” He said that as per scripture and research, Kurukshetra remained the centre of solar eclipse.

The Chief Minister through digital medium, here today interacted with sages and saints of Kashi, Braj and Kurukshetra and various Akharas who had come to participate in the religious ceremony held at Kurukshetra. The interaction was held before the commencement of ‘Vishwa Shanti Path’ organized for attaining world peace and winning the battle against Corona Pandemic at Ganga ghat on the Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra.

While praying for the well-being of humanity, on the occasion of the solar eclipse falling on Ashadha Amavasya, the Chief Minister said that the effect of this year’s solar eclipse was very rare and in this type of solar eclipse will not be seen again in coming centuries.“Dharmakshetra, Kurukshetra being the main centre of solar eclipse various Anushthan (religious ceremonies) were organized at Brahma Sarovar.”

He said that with the mantra power of Indian culture and Vedas scriptures religious rituals are performed to convert negative energy into positive energy. Therefore, Akhand path and Anushthan (religious ceremony) were organized at Gita Updesh Sthali-Kurukshetra. “Amid the Corona virus pandemic, this year, fair at a large level was not organized for the containment of COVID-19 infection,” he said.

For the well-being of mankind, great sages and saints of Kashi, Braj and Kurukshetra and various Akharas participated in the religious ceremonies held at Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra. The spiritual rituals were performed to prevent negative energy and this ritual will certainly prove beneficial in bringing world peace and prosperity in the Nation.

The Chief Minister said that everyone observed the solar eclipse through TV channels and other means of publicity while staying at home.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude towards all the saints who reached to participate in the ‘Vishwa Shanti Path’ for attaining world peace and winning the battle against Corona Pandemic.

Speaking on the occasion, Geeta Manishi Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj said, “Religious ceremonies, organized at the Brahma Sarovar of Dharmakshatra-Kurukshetra were performed especially for the well- being of world and to help the country to eradicate the Corona Pandemic.”
