Chandigarh, February 21- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that Baghwan Balmiki Ji life was inspiring to the entire human race. He was a great poet of Sanskrit who wrote the Ramayana. His teachings are still relevant today.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering at the statue unveiling ceremony organized by Shri Valmiki Yuva Varg Sabha at Baghwan Balmiki Dham in Nilokheri of District Karnal today. On this occasion, he first went to Baghwan Balmiki Dham and took his blessings. He then unveiled the statue of Baghwan Balmiki Ji.
While addressing the gathering, he congratulated everyone on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri and said that it is a matter of great coincidence that on this auspicious day, we have got the privilege of unveiling the statue of Baghwan Balmiki Ji. He said that the birth anniversaries of great men is being celebrated by the State Government so that the younger generation will learn by their teachings and be a better human.
The Chief Minister said that all the employees who provide services which are risky in nature are being given the benefit of insurance scheme. Not only this, but the Haryana Safai Karamchari Aayog has also been formed by the Government. He said that people under below poverty line, having annual income up to Rs 1.80 lakh, being given the benefit of health services up to Rs 5 lakh. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, about 9 lakh gas connections have been given to women of poor families.
